MPC2051 Jams with custom paper only when printing

I've got a customer that tries to print on a custom paper size but whenever he does it, the paper comes out about 5 centimeters the machine jams. But when he tries to copy onto it, the paper comes out fine.

The paper size is correctly defined in both the machine and the printer driver. I'm still trying to know what code the machine gives when jamming.

I really can't think of a reason why the machine would jam when printing but work fine when copying. Any hints are welcome.

thats a wierd one. 5cm isn't even enough to cause a paper size error.
stupid question but are you sure they're copying from the same tray they're having printing jams from?

have you tried moving the paper to another tray ro rule out feed assy issues?
i would go to output check and start acuating clutches. turn them on and off repeatedly. if a clutch doesn't click every time its stuck and needs to be replaced. ricoh clutches SUCK.

the paper is a custom size, they didn't cut it themselves, did they? we had a print shop do that and the paper varied 1/2 inch in size. did they fan it properly to make sure the edges aren't sticking together?

jam codes can be found on the first page of the logging data.

Does it do the same out of the bypass? Bypass trays can be a bit more lenient with odd paper sizes.
