Ricoh MP161spf Digital Copier, repeating image in background ?

I have a Ricoh MP161spf Digital Copier. 32,332 copies on it. repeating image in background very lightly?
I have replace drum/developer unit and worked fine fo a short time..3 weeks,did it again
same thing. Fuser unit was replace @ 25K working fine. cleaned transfer assembly,blank lamps everything inside Ok.....
Its back again? high voltage problem? any sugestions?

If I remember correctly the pressure roller bushings crack and break and will cause this issue. Panic stop the copy in the machine and see if it occurs at the drum or in the fuser. If it happens at fusing then check those bushings.

2 things to also check if the fuser looks ok - Are they using OEM toner and are the erase lamps coming on [SP5-804-3] (you said you cleaned them, but if they don't come on residual charge can give this symptom). One thing that stands out is that you said when you replaced the pcu, it was fine for a short while. That kinda supports the idea that once the original toner in the pcu is depleted, toner from the bottle is fully in the mix and that's when the issue starts.

Good point teebee. That's true. I always forget about non-oem supplies because none of my customers use it.

It could be a bad drum ground connection also.

Bad transfer roller inside right door also could do this I belive.
