    Question Help please. Aficio 270

    Hi everybody,
Hope someone could give me a help, got little experience with ricoh and I’m in trouble…
This Aficio is used mainly as network printer , has low amount of copies, and a fairly amount of daily job.

    The problem:
Lately when printing (even a single side document) from pc, the paper jam at the upper level of duplex.
The word “jam” is inappropriate , in fact the paper simply halts at the interchange unit entry.
The sheets halted 90% of times are blank.
No error codes are shown. Simply a jam status.
Printing is ok only when a single side sheet is requested from the copier device panel.

For what I can see every time the duplex tryto drive paper into interchange unit it fails, rollers keep on rotating but the paper refuses to pass. Of course no physical obstacles are present.
Looking for the latest 10 error jam codes in memory, I found:

Error125: paper does not reach the duplex exit sensor
Error123: paper does not reach the duplex entrance sensor
Checked the duplex solenoid it seems to be ok, checked the 2 solenoid of interchange unit they also seem ok.
Cleaning the parts (i.e sensors) was useless and I have no other ideas…

    Someone could help me please??

    Ok, will try.
Honestly I supposed that sensor shouldn't be involved, sheets in fact stop (just as they found a physical obstacle) at inverter entrance.
As you know there is only one sensor in the inverter an paper simply can’t reach it…
    Thanks, I’ll let you know…

I’ll take parts from a similar copier not in use now (aficio 220)
Just tobe SURE, Could you please suggest me where I can find similar Ricoh NEW parts on line?
    Kat*n doesn’t seem to have it…
    Thanks again.

Precision roller is always a good source. I think I would rebuild the fuser, it may be slowing down enough to delay the paper getting to the interchange.

You never realize how cheap a professional is until after you let an amateur do it.

check simple things like making sure the paper size setting thumbwheel in the paper tray is set correctly. does it jam on copies too or just prints?
Don't take that toner with me!

Tab broken off duplex entry guide thus the solenoid doesn't divert it to the duplexer?

    Done.The 2 thumwheels are set correctly (i.e. a4)
It jams on copies but ONLY when printing both sides of paper, single side prints are ok.
If you try to print from a pc (it works basically as network printer) it drives you mad, in this case in fact it jams single and double side too…

Duplex inverter plastics are ok. The paper goes a few inches into the inverter lower entrance then stops. I'll try to post photos or a short video.
