    setting up scanning to folders on a 2003 server

    Hi Folks,

    new here so bear with me. Can anyone please shed some light on setting up scanning to folders on a server from a MP C2500.

    Create the folders, set them to be shared and create permissions per the appropriate group policy (the domain admin can generally do that). Then on the copier side, user the path to the server in CIFS format: \\server\share folder and further down if there are subfolders.
    Be sure to also enter in valid credentials that allow read/write access to the folder(s).

    The best way to be certain that r/w rights don't change is to have the domain admin create a separate user or service account with a password that will not expire and use that to authenticate to the folders.
