    adf's

is there a way to keep the doc feeders that are used on the Ricoh1035/2035 from falling down other than replacing the adf hinges on ??? If the feeder is raised up 1/2 way or less when removing original the feeder won't stay there it falls to the glass...
    thanks!!!

Depending on how weak the hinge spring is and if the plastic isn't broken through, you can try putting shims (washers or something similar) between the spring and the plastic face it pushes against. Otherwise you can probably get away with just replacing the right hinge only and that will give you enough resistance.

i wrapped a bit of masking tape on the black roller that the spring pushes on and that sorted it.
