replaced-ipu, entire laser unit assly, bcu, door switches, and entire wire harness from laser diode to ipu. driving me crazy. help appreciated
A. Damaged wiring harness between IPU and BCU PCB. Pin 2 (LD Monitor signal) of the IPU side of the harness which plugs into CN 347 becomes damaged from improper opening and closing of the controller box.
B. The Laser Diode Unit has failed
[Action]
A.Check the condition of IPU BCU Harness (B247 5451) if damaged replace it
1. Disconnect ADF cable
2. Remove the Rear upper cover (2 screws) and Rear lower cover (2 screws)
3. Remove screws 1 to 4. and swing open the controller box
4. Remove the left IPU connector shield (item 5) (2 screws).
5. Carefully disconnect connector 347 (item 6)
6. Inspect wiring for pin 2 (upper left wire) for damage and repair or replace as needed.
B. Check and replace the Laser Diode Unit. (B2471859) if necessary.
Did you ever resolve this problem? I've got a machine with the same intermittent fault at the moment.
Italian Ricoh Spare Parts Site is telling me that new laser diode code is B2471840.
Is it correct ?
Thanks
Vincenzo
29 rouge unpair manque.... cous cous....
I have to report sporadically SC-220 from an MP-6000 lately, just copier, 700K copies, but till now i am waiting for a worst code to act...!
SC 220 Laser Synchronization Detection error
[Cause]
Defective SBU
OR
DOOR SWITCH
[Resolution]
Replaced SBU which is part of the Lens Unit B247 1721
OR DOOR SWITCH
It's time to take some action with this (SC-120) problem!! I see this code coming up when i switch on the copier, immediately, sometimes it works for a while and it drops out a blank page...(MP-6000)
There are codes SC-990 and SC-355 (too many) logged also. Drum is covered with a thin layer of toner and i suspect an imitation toner in the 'original" bottle...
Does anyone from above have the same symptoms?
I ask this because i see that many suspicious parts have been replaced without success....
So where is the beginning...
I don't use to, but i am thinking for an NVM clear and reflash..
What do you think about?
