The older ones like the 3045 series were pretty good. They all just ran dirty. The newer series (MP series 35 to 50) were a nightmare but problems seem to be settling down a bit but expect a lot of service calls. A step down in speed or a step up in speed you would be great with the Ricoh Boxes. If you went with color then you can't go wrong with Ricoh in that speed range and up.

Look for a used MP5500. They're bulletproof. Make sure they get serviced on a regular basis, use OEM toner and load the paper properly, you will rarely, if ever, have a problem with it.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Since you said 30-45.. I like the MP3350 or 3351.. good machine, low maintenance.

Go with the martini engine for sure. ie-1060/2060/7500 etc.
Will go PM to PM no problemo.

I have to say your choice of CPM puts you into the worst category for Ricoh boxes. Since you are on the market for used, go for the 'supersize' option of an MP5500, or similar. Aficio 2060 / 2075 are older but still solid if you get a lower mileage unit that has been serviced regularly.

Dont even think about spending money on mid range ricoh box exept russian c2 the rest absolutley diabolical. 60 cpm plus are ok. If i had to spend money i would go for 10 years old Kyocera like 3035 5 years old 5050 if u can stretch that far but u need to upgrade firmare to latest on it.
