The MPC2030/2050 series and their successors are great budget machines. I've gown to enjoy them as the service call rates are low and they're fairly easy to service.

You might want to re-read his original post a bit better. He stats that while it is a 'part' in his companies system, it is not a Ricoh part.

nice heading to home depot before next 2050 tray call.....
right now all calls regarding 2050 tray issues is billable for us if you wanna man handle the tray you pay i always give a in depth demo on how to open tray and close it ive also had people always tossing paper in and knocking the sensor out inside.....yet again misuse of the machine so that is a billable call..
but i do like the L bracket idea
Can you give us a more detailed picture as well as measurements? I'd like to try and make a couple of them for our emergency fixes...

Ye mate heaps of trays brake on those things, I almost thinking of buying some shares in the tray business LOL
