I had the same problem with this model.
The way to overcome the situation was increasing the fusing temperature (in SP mode).
Since that time it no longer exists a ghost image problems

    Re: MPC2051 Ghost Image

Hi, excuse me for may bad english.
In italy there is this technical bulletin : ghost image at intervals of 95 mm.
    CAUSE
The brush discharge has not been reinstalled after replacing the fuser unit of
Optional cleaning roller. This causes the toner to the charging roller surface
    presser.
    ACTION
Replace the cleaning roller optional (D0394380):
    - Be sure to remove the brush discharge from the fuser assembly, and
reinstall it after installing the new optional cleaning roller.
    - Ensure that the brush discharge is fixed to the support.

    Ciao.
