Turning off the waste sensor in SP2960 should fix that problem.

Hmm. I would say it would alleviate the symptom, not solve the problem. Kinda like putting a bandaid on a cancer.

I guess you'd rather perform a Memory All Clear then? In the 25 years I've worked on Ricoh products I have never seen an accurate overflow sensor, why do you think the cleaning blade got modified years ago?? You dig deeper and I'll turn the sensor off and PM the machine when required.
Adios
5801 is another way of saying I dont know wtf is wrong with this machine. There was a TSB on this that suggested replacing the contacts on the side of the transfer unit to resolve that problem. In my 40 years of working on copiers I always try solve a problem rather than cover it up. I just dont believe in "lemons" only lazy technicians.
my 2 cents

hi,
i already did clean the sensors and even replaced the whole transfer unit including the door and connectors and even replaced the io but the message still appeared. since my client needed to use the machine urgently, for me memory clear was my last resort at that time for it to function since i didn't how to solve it.
anyway, after i replaced the bicu the message was gone so i guess the problem is not with the sensor, contacts or connector.
but i still need to fix the replaced bicu. if turning it off is not the solution then what is the solution?
thank you.

If replaceing the BICU fixed it then just send the board off to have it fixed.
