    Exclamation Cl7200 sc 191

    Hi,

    Please help me. I have a Cl7200 with sc195.
I checked the manual service and this said me the serial number error.

I trained to change this in SP-5-811, but it´s impossible.

    How change the serial number???

In other models are with sp-factory but how is here????

    Thanks.

First, check the dip switches on the BCU. They should be 1=on 2=off 3=off 4=off (CL7300, 4=on).
If it wrong, that can give you this error. If this is not the fix then, did you replace the BCU or NVRAM before this occured or put in an NVRAM from another unit? Is the serial number listed in sp5-811-002 different than what is on the serial plate? If so, than it will have to be changed in a Special Service Mode (certain SP codes are hidden in standard Service Mode). You can try holding the "#" key when you enter Copy SP, that will put you into Special SP and look for sp5-811-001 to change the serial, but I believe that you may have to enter the Super Secret SP (which I had at one time but forgot it). If that's the case then you may have to call tech support or someone here may give it to you (in a PM please, not on the open forums!).

Ok, then if you just replaced the BCU and put the original NVRAM back in then most likely the dip switches need to be set correctly on the BCU (see my modified first post). If you put in a new NVRAM, then the serial number will have to be programmed in.
