    IS760 Error

Had a customer call in yesterday with a IS760 (G714) and stated that the display read; "Fatal Error 34336". Now, I downloaded the manual and there is not such code in any section, that I could find anyway, of the manual.

If someone knows about this, could you let me know, because I know I will be the one to go look at it.

It's a TWAIN driver error code.

'Error that is unrecoverable on the hardware occurs on the scanner'.
(LOL that description is just a great help ah).

Well you could try the 'self diagnosis mode' (4.1.2) to see if the hardware on the scanner all checks out ok.

    Or failing that.

Uninstall the TWAIN driver and reinstall the latest version from the website.
    Update / reflash the firmware.

Hey, just wanted to update this one. I installed the ScanProbe tool on the PC the scanner was connected to and found that the error was actually a home position sensor error. I removed the ADF scan glass assy and cleaned everything really well. I also found that the home position sensor was out of place. Not sure how it got that way, so...

Oh well! Thanks again for the help there DAZ. I did update the firmware though, before installing the scan probe. Just thought I would give that a shot.
