I think this forum is a valuable aid to those seeking to know ..... not a load of crap ..... and if someone was offended for asking the question a reset counter withdrawal!! ... indeed I say do not matter to me.
Very simple : tell your customer that this is a used machine that has made, for example 480,384 copies. Start counting from there.
There's a reason that many manufacturers make it as difficult as possible to reset the total counter. You just can't tell what happened to the machine. It could have made 50,000 copies, or 200,000, or 1,000,000? Who knows?
GTFOH. And don't let the door hit you on the way out. It slams hard.
If it's so important to you, bite the bullet and replace the NVRAM.
This is, and I'll type this very slowly so that you understand, they only way to do it.
IMHO it really should be an automated ban for any fucktard asking the question.....just sayin'
If you want to monitor from zero, replace the mechanical meters.
They come in @ 000000.
Resetting the electronic meter to make the machine seem new is unethical.
A real tech would never misrepresent himself or the machine .
It always gets the service techs in the end.
Why do they call it common sense?
If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
Haha
I do not find anything to laugh and witty, just change the nvram and many do! one can have the need to reset the counter and it's like those who paint the bodywork yellowed .... and there are, I can assure you!
Of course there are people out there that do that...they are called dishonest, unethical, cheating scumbags....I'm sure they sell this crap to their customers and then change their phone number and name to avoid them after a sale...and you are correct it isn't funny...it's down right immoral...
