Ricoh MP 4000 ?'s about scan option settings and screen.

I just installed this machine and this customer does a lot of scanning.

The trouble he is having is this. They need to scan files to different folders using the same
file name. The same file will need to have different parts of the file sent to different folders.
On the their Savin 8045 (Aficio 3045) the file name is held in the window long enough for
    them to accomplish this task.
I went through the screens yesterday looking for anything that might give a clue.
Today I will have to find time to read the scan op manual, unless someone knows
what setting I am looking for.
Also the screen, does not seem as sensitive as on the 8045. I will run the touch
calibration today and see if that helps. That seem to be off a little also.

    Thanks

    DR

Check Scanner SP - theres a sub-SP Mode calles "User Info Release" (or something like that). Change this setting to 0 (or "no").

If the touch screen responses badly you might have to replace it - it's a known issue and the touch screens have been modified (you can detect a modified one if the end of the flat-cable has a white connector - the old one are brown-coloured).

Liking the vast majority of this, although I'm not sure whether it will release the file name after the first job anyway. It may be your only hope though!

It's probably some kind of discretion reasons, too

Thanks for the reply. I ran the touch screen panel calibration program and that seemed to
cure the problem. As far as the program you mentioned, thanks I should be able to find
something about it in the book.

    Thanks

I think you'll discover it even without the book since it's no cryptic bit switch or whatever - there aren't that many SPs within "Scanner SP"

Unfortunately if it is the old style screen, the calibration won't hold long. Replacement is inevitable.

what color the conncetor is yet. I will wait untill I notice it again.

I have had no luck finding this setting. I must be missing something.

    Any help would help.

    Thanks

On the C2050 it is Scanner SP1-1012.
