Exclamation Help on how to clear SC 542 code on Lanier LD015SPF

I admit it. I'm a printer tech. The only reason I was working on this machine was because my customer (with all the HP's) asked me to. Since I work on all kinds of units, not just HP, I was willing to give it a try. Their original problem was that it wasn't always fusing the toner. I found a used fusing unit online and purchased it. I didn't ohm it out before installing and it came up with the SC542 error, which I believe is a fuser open heat error. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So I ohmed out the fuser and found that it was defective. So I put the old fuser back in and still got the error. Is there a key sequence I can go through to clear the error. I'm in a hot spot right now because the unit is completely down now. Help!

    TIA

Press the following keys in sequence "CLEAR MODES", "1", "0", "7". Press and hold the "CLEAR/STOP" key until the copier enters the Service Mode (aprrox 3 seconds). Select 1 on the Keypad. Press key "7" and press "OK". Press "807" and "OK" Press the key below "EXECUTE" in the display. Turn Power OFF. Wait a few seconds and turn the copier back ON

Sorry, "7-807" resets the jam/sc counters, not the actual Error. However, I recalled that that on top of entering' copy SP' mode he will have to enter "5" (OK), "810" (ok), "execute" to reset. The newer models it's just Sp mode and exit

Sandmanmac, you were right the first time on the reset for the LD015/AF1515 but the older Lanier 5613/af1013 used a unique reset.

    B129/B130/B168/B169
    Activate the SP mode, and
turn the main power switch off
    and on.

    B044/B045/B046
Enter SP 5-810 (SC Code) and
    select “1”.
    Then simultaneously press the
    “Original Type” key and the
    “OK” or “Enter” key.
    For the B044/B045/B046 there
is no need to turn the main
    switch “OFF” and “ON.”

Thanks to all, I was able to clear the error and get the unit back up and running.
