    3224C Overheating without error code

I've got one of these cancerous machine overheating to the touch (the right side door behind the ADU is very hot to the touch) but not throwing out any codes.

Since I'm don't work much with these machines, I'm asking: is this normal for this model?

I lowered the fuser temps by 5º, and I'll wait and see.

    Cheers!

It Could be that the cooling fan isn't working it's located behind a small grill towards the rear of the left hand cover near the fuser door.

(Stating the obvious?)... If the thermistors are bent / dirty, they will register a lower temperature than the actual temp and the machine will run hot.... until the thermostats blow!... (Smack them against the wall if they do.. ! )

I believe there is also a cheap washable "filter" under the cover for that fan also. If the copier is in a dirty environment, it could be plugged.

My answer would be the same, common problem with overheating in some models.
