    MPC2050

    HI,

Had an SC563 on this machine.
I replaced both pressure thermistor, middle and front.
Did some testprints, it looked allright to me.
Now, customer called for an SC565 error (?)
Need I replace the whole unit or . . ?

anyone . . Thanks in advance

Edition to as cool bear said, make sure you had Pressure roller thermistors(Middle and front) with correct part number in the box,or it'll cause overheating, blowing thermostat and PSU!

Yes I agree with COOLBEER, I had this happen to me sc563 so I replaced thermisters then got a call for sc565 not long after leaving the premises. Went back with a presure roller thermostat and its been ok since. This happened to me twice on 2 different mpc2050s so when it happened again i replaced thermistors and pressure roller thermostat

Replace all thermistors and pr thermostat, and make sure the contact is correct, if problem persists try the female connector inside the machine where the fuser male connector meets, I have seen them break when customers remove to clear a jam and slam them back in causing them to break....

If it is broken, it will take app 2 hours to replace as a heads up

Chaps also make sure that all the lamps in the fuser are ok. Sometimes a failed fusing lamp (in a multi-lamp fuser) can cause the wrong sc codes.

Happened to me too. You can check continuity without removing the pressure roller, but it has to come out to replace the thermostat.
