    Re: Ricoh MPC 3002 problem

Like they say in the thread, do not upload a diffrent Nv-ram data to the machine...
Anyway what you can try if nothing else work is to save the NV-ramdata to your SD-card, and then make a ram-clear. (Print SMC-list (all) first).
If the Mc then work you know there is an error in your old NV-ramdata. If it still a problem to the machine just download the NV-ramdata from your SD-card again.

I thinke you allready tried this, but sometimes I found new fusing-units that need to be run sometime before it work silence. try make about 300 copies or something...

Perhaps after all is somewhat simpler as for example a failure of the sensor positioning of the pressure roller. See page 313 of the service manual.

    Another jisa supporter.

I had the same thing on a c5502 after a tech ran Sp5801 the 1st time I saw it. Since then updating the firmware has taken care of it.

    Re: Ricoh MPC 3002 problem

Is it possible that the pressure sensor ( photo interupter ) is dirty or bad. Located on right(rear) of the 3002. sensor flag is on the fuser itself.
Could the sensor not "close" and the pressure cam continues to rotate ? Making a "banging" noise.

    Re: Ricoh MPC 3002 problem

it has happened to me that when putting average temperature, that is to say, thickness average, the machine takes more than three minutes in extracting the impression or copy more to print in thickness 1,2,3 etc fast exit
