Ricoh MP6001 sp error SC863-06

Hi, a few weeks ago i got this error on this very machine, i changed the hard drive and formatted it. The problem has returned i used a segate 160gig hard drive. Has anyone got this problem and is there a fix or is it the hard drive again?

take the HHD out and put it on a cradle attached to a pc. Format HDD and 9 out of 10 time it recovers. After reinstalling it in the mch format it again in Sp mode
Also check the fuser on the Lower controller PSU . ( sits at the bottom of the controller )

Try to rechange the hdd.
After cleaning the ram
And to the end replace the nvram

Thanks much i did what you guys said and i formatted the hard drive with a computer and did it again on the machine. So am hoping for the best.

Tibbs did you ever find a fix for this ??I am having the same problem I Replaced HDD 3 times and it still pops up intermittently.

The HDD is not faulty. Please format the HDD on the computer, not the hard disk on the machine. If the fault occurs repeatedly, try to remove the FAX CARD.
