This problem went away and came back on its own.
Looks like the charge rollers in all 4 drums need to be cleaned.
"Heavy music to the normal ear is nothing but a loud annoyance. Most people think of it as obnoxious, talentless music but to someone who really listens and is really in love with music knows how beautiful and amazing it can be" Tommy Rogers of Between The Buried and Me"
Okay. That s what I thought. What was strange is that it went away and then returned.
Remember you can't clean worn out.
Looks like you WILL have to replace all the pcus and the DEVs if the problem keeps coming and going.
try to push the scan unit from down to up , if problem in copying mode only
It does look like a pcu problem, but since it disappeared and returned you might check out the transfer cleaning unit also.
NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING
Streaks like this from the charge roller can clean themselves up...it is largely dependent on what the customer is running. If they are making lots of high coverage copies the toner disposal system can't keep up and the charge roller ends up getting contaminated. After the high coverage run they may run regular coverage and the toner disposal system catches up and the charge roller eventually cleans off enough to make the lines go away. That is my experience with lines that come and go...and yes like another post said changing the drum and dev unit together is recommended....crashed developer really clogs up the old disposal system.
