Re: ricoh aficio 3235c color registration
If you are a Engineer...To start with....
- Clean ID sensors.
- Clean the silver roller on the transfer facing the ID's.
- Attempt colour reg adjustment.
- New belt required.
- Weak colour on a dev unit.
- The list goes on!
If you are a customer phone an Engineer.
PS
Can be a nightmare when you get this fault on these machines.

Re: ricoh aficio 3235c color registration
As stated, this problem can be a nightmare - mostly from a cost perspective. If the machine will not do an automatic registration adjustment you will need to follow the service manual and do the "raw" adjustments IN ORDER. You will need a loop. If you don't have one you are wasting your time trying to bring the laser in to rough adjustment. You could have bad developing units, drum inuits, t-belt assembly, the list goes on and on. This problem will really test your knowledge of the copy process. I have seen everyting from bad LSU to dirty ID sensors/transfer rollers all the way to a bad NV RAM. Make sure you have good dev. and drum units, clean ID sensors, good t-belt, etc. IF all that is good do an NV RAM clear and reload the bible settings. If it still fails, make it a parts machine and buy one from any of the wholesalers as they sell these models for around five hundred dollars.

Re: ricoh aficio 3235c color registration
Had a same problem on Aficio 3260c, this problem can be a nightmare, I replaced all boards, all motors, PCUs, connectors, everything except Laser Unit. After few months of work I replaced a ITB connectors on chassis, machine is working for two weeks now without color shift, so this might be a solution to this problem... good luck
