Is there a new developer unit? I haven't downloaded that tech bulletin yet, so I don't know. Sorry.
On a lighter note, with a bit of patience you can swap parts out of the new PCU units to the old ones. While that is about the exact opposite of a permanent fix, it will get you by for a while. At least every time I've tried that it does.
Whats not fitting together?
I got caught out with the old style face plates not fitting the new PCU's. I had been chucking them away when modding the Black PCUs for color.
"See if you can rent a spring hook and a phillips screwdriver it will make your life that much easier..."
I have not had any issues using the new style with older dev units. Yes, you do have to hold your mouth right and ensure the pins on the dev unit slide into the slots on the PCU at the front and rear, but it will fit. If not, get a big f&ckin hammer. Just joking, don't do that.
NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING
Yes it is very strange. The old developer units will not line up with new style drums. The small black plastic piece that slides over the front drum shaft and lines up with shaft on developer unit will not line up, old or new plastic piece.
Its a strange one !
Kelly, sorry I know you don't want to hear this but looking at you avatar, it could be your glasses they look a little to big and I think the lens may have fallen in both sides.
Again sorry but someone had to tell you.
Yep that was it! What an easy fix! Wingnuts unite!!!

Ok, tried 3 different new black pcu units with same result. The existing DV units do NoT align properly!! When swapping parts the new ones have enough different parts to not make it worth it. Someone must have run into this. Was there newer dv units issued at the time they upgraded black pcu?
No, I've had no problem fitting the B224 PCU's to any of the Athena or Appolon-C1 machines.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.
