    Moving Post Script Option ?

I have a MP5000 with post script installed on it that I'm selling and customer doesn't need post script. Wondering if I can remove it and install on different MP5000 ?

Give it a try, but in most cases; no, as the serial is linked to the SD card.

I haven't worked on Ricoh's for a couple of years but you used to be able to copy it back to a SD card and remove it from the machine. There was a procedure for it in the field service manual. Don't know if that is still true or not.
Testing 1-2-3, testing, testing. Is this thing on?

You could move applications onto the Postscript card, but the card is copy protected (probably a hidden partition) so you can't copy the Postscript data off the card.

Umm...think you guys are looking too much into this. If you want to remove Postscript from the machine, turn machine off and remove the card. then fit it to any other MP5000 you want.

The card cant be copied and has to go into slot one.

The card can be moved to another machine but first you need to remove (undo exec, SP5873-002) any applications that have been moved to the PS card. This is what prevents it from being installed on another machine.
