I agree, had this a few times with faulty memory modules. Give it/them a clean and reseat, if still occuring then a replacement is needed.

no noises. copying works fine. i actually thought it was the document. i was appearing always on the last 3 pages of a document. (same pattern). Sometimes is black thick lines, sometimes its 1" band with horizontal lines. its always towards the end of the document. i will try the memory modules.

Copying works fine? Well, that makes my previous post totally wrong, sorry about that.
On the other hand, the machine prints OK except for the last three pages of a print job? If that is the case, it is quite unlikely the machine is the problem. The machine is just printing the data sent to it by your computer after all (if there was an issue with the machine, everything you printed would look the same), and as such it is far more likely to be an issue with the application you are printing from.

Does it happen with all connected PC's? Is it only 1 specific document, or everything? Have you tried another driver? Firmware?

I agree with sandmanmac!!! test other pc's or better yet put that file on a laptop and print via crossover to see of you can recreate it...............
