    SC 554 MP5000

    hello to all,

    I've fitted a new BICU board and a second hand IOB board on this copier but the SC 554 isn't going away,i noticed it shows door open plus the code,has anyone come across this?i want to order a new IOB but i await your input first

    please assist i will really appreciate on your contribution.

    554 A Fusing overheat error 1 (hardware detection)
    A fusing temperature (at the end) over 250°C is detected by the fusing temperature monitor circuit in the BICU board.
    • I/O board (IOB) defective
    • BICU defective

    hi before yo bring another board detect that fuser ok . begin with fuser then take another assumptions .

    cleared memory and now SC 442 shows up!

    442 D Transfer belt contact motor error
    The transfer belt HP sensor detects incorrect movement of the transfer belt after the transfer belt contact motor has turned on.
    • Dirty transfer belt HP sensor
    • Defective transfer belt contact motor
    • Disconnected connector of the transfer belt HP sensor or motor
    • Disconnected cable
    • Defective IOB

    please help!

    Clearing the memory never solves a service call. Did you make a backup of all SP-settings? Take the birth certificate and reload all non-default settings, and work the problem instead of creating new ones.

    If you're sure that the Fusing Unit is ok, then you have to order the boards to find out.
