Already replaced the toner coil and tube, cleaned the waste toner sensor, checked the coil out in waste toner. everything is ok, but toner pump and hose are not yet checked. Any advise again? thanks.

Already have service and parts manual.

The waste toner coils are normally to blame, especially the lower one. If you have replaced them you should be able to see all the gears and the coil turning with the back covers open while everything is clean- if not the coil has broken off the shaft or the drive gear is broken. I put in a stronger spring in the waste toner agitator guide that leads to the coils for good measure - that keeps the toner from clumping up and prevent the problem reoccurring . Also check the sensors that they are all clear of toner as this will give you that error too. Make sure the waste toner drops freely to the waste bottle. Good luck SC 495 is legendary

Toner coil cleaning works on several days and when the problem occurs again we disable the waste toner sensor with SP codes. Toner Consumption counter turn off, and the message did not appear again. SC495 was solve when we try to run output check of toner supply and locked the stand.

If that machine is anything like the Pro 907 EX, there is a second waste toner bottle behind a cover underneath where the toner supply is. If you haven't checked that yet, if time permits you might want to see if that's the case for your machine.

That is not a second waste toner. It is the waste toner bottle bottle. The bottle below the development unit is the vacuum collection bottle. It should be replaced at 3 Meg. The air pump above it should be replaced at 2.5 Meg. The two of them work together to keep pressure from building up inside the development unit and causing toner hazing. It is exactly like the 907EX other than being 10 ppm faster.

I guess that is one reason why the Pro series are not just big LD360s. Guess I'll have to hit the manuals before I go back to them.

                      Hey mate,
this can be caused by a couple of things,
the toner collection coil gear or sencor that sits over this gear.....
the hose that goes from the toner canister to the pump behind the Developer unit drive assy may be blocked.
or can be the canister itself..... it should be half full of toner at all times????
also that coil the the other guys spoke about , pull it right out and vacc it clean and when u get machine up again you will have to run the toner bank setup to supply toner to the caqnister if u dont
it will keep occuring Sp-2207-002 sweet......
                      hope this helps mate

Sounds more like you have two problems there to me.

Firstly if you read the manual under detailed descriptions you may understand how things work and have half a chance of fixing it.

Waste toner nearly full is triggered by a sensor on the back of the toner bank that has a gear with a sloped flag on it. Once this sensor detects the flag slowing it starts the nearly full condition and the machine will then allow a maximum of 200k more prints. There is also a small clutch at the bottom of the bank that drives an auger in the waste bottle once this slips the machine will show waste full. My advice would be remove the toner bank and start cleaning.

Secondly SC 495 doesn't relate to toner recycling like on previous models its a toner supply issue. Basically there are three TD sensors in the machine and one of them isnt detecing any toner.

We appreciate your helpful comments. Thanks.
I take it from the use of we and our that you are an end user. A couple of questions. What is the current total number of copies? What the last thing done to the machine prior to getting the message "waste toner is full"? Since SC334 is not a valid SC for this equipment, is that a typo and should it be SC344"?

SC495 has to do with toner being detected as being added to the toner hopper. SC344 is a development unit not seated correctly which could cause toner to not enter the hopper.

there is a sensor under toner bank at the rear side of machine for the waste coil movement.usually that sensor get dirty from toner!
for the sc495 you must check if you have normally toner supply from the toner pump to the toner hopper(the unit upper the developer)

I have had 8 pro907ex machines and had the same problem on a few of them and it turned out to be a cracked board down by the auger drive motor! The board is only supported on one side and the other hangs freely. Over 5-7 million clicks the vibration from the motor driving the waste toner auger created a hairline crack in the board!
