    Mp3350 scan density calibrate?

Client prints fine , only when scan do they get light on lead edge of page. Is there a calibration for scan density on the 3350?

    thanks

Turn power off and then clean all the mirrors in the optics section. Dust on the optics can cause the white reference to look darker than it is and cause a shift in the entire gray scale.

When you say lead edge of the paper, are you meaning the edge that was leading going into the ADF? If it is, check the white pressing plate above the slit glass. If it is not positioned correctly, the lead edge of the original might not be against the slit glass.

Went there and found that it is non op side edge of page that is light on letter size when using adf and op side when lay on glass.

strange thing is if we scan to email the document is fine. Only when scan to print!

All clean and looks fine. Any ideas?

If it was doing it on printing as well I would say it could be a dirty shield glass on the laser unit. If they are printing to SEF paper it still could be the shield glass.

an age old fix for something like that was to lift up the front left corner of the scanner unit as hard as you can

Give what a try? Bending the adf is NOT the fix for this. Read what I wrote carefully.
