    MP2852 counter reset

I replaced NVRAM and controller board of MP2852. Now counter is reset to zero. Is there a way to enter previous counter into the machine.

AFAIK the only way to restore the counter is if you had taken an NVRAM backup BEFORE replacing the NVRAM.

When you do a restore it then writes the data back to the NVRAM.

Incorrect with a new NVRAM (also called a minus counter in most manuals) the only data that isn't backed up is the total counter.

    I stand corrected:

The following data stored in the NVRAM will not be saved to the SD card when you perform an
    NVRAM data upload (SP5-824).
    Total counter value
    • C/O, P/O counter values
    • Duplex, A3/DLT/Over 420mm, Stapler, and Scanner counter values
    • Engine SP data

    Thanks Bantams!

Looks like we are moving backwards i.s.o. forwards these days!
