Re: MPC 4000 color registration failed

As said before, I know this is an old thread. I have had an issue where the speed encoder in the transfer assy had failed. At the time of running the music adjustment, it would compensate. Over time, the belt drive was slipping, causing registration to move. As the encoder is not avaliable as a spare part the only option, for me at least, was to replace the transfer assy. The fault never returned.

    Hi
Can anyone tell me how to reset the color registration, all three colors are way out on an MP C4000.

Weak developer (undertoned) can cause this issue too. Try forced toner ONCE for whichever color is having issue. If that helps you may need to replace Developer.

If you are a copier tech and even with only a reasonable knowledge of Ricohs you should know where the sensor array is. If not, please leave well alone as you are well out of your depth!
