Ricoh type 3260 (B702) punch unit problems

The dealer I work for rents machines to TV/movie production companies. Most of the larger machines are sent out with finishers that use type 3260 (B702) punch assemblies.
It is really "hit or miss" getting these units to work well with the volume these places do.
We have figured out a lot of different tricks but nothing works consistently.
    Any ideas?

It varies. Some units the punch pieces will not fall out of punch head onto the conveyor and on others the conveyor doesn't move the pieces to the receptacle.
Thinking chassis ground may have something to do with part of it. Everything works well in the shop but not in the field. Our delievery people are bad about leaving the ground plates off of the finishers.

A service tech should always accompany the delivery of a piece of equipment.

Agreed, the salesman nor the boss seems to understand that point.
I have hammered on the salesman to be sure the ground plates get installed.
    Thanks for you input.

Have had luck with inverting the conveyor belt so the ridge sides are to the outside.
