    Mpc5000 m lines

Magenta lines. Changed c,m, y as over pm life. Swapped m with c drum but m lines not changed. Stuck ran IPU test patterns but didn't really confirm much other than its engine based fault.

Did you replace the ITB Cleaning Unit?

no, ITb cleaning unit is ok. I've stopped the copy half way and the cleaning unit does its job.

Could be a problem in the Magenta DV-Unit, or maybe the M-Transfer Roller in the ITB is not making good contact with the M-Drum Unit. You can also check for SC's in the SMC-list. Some SC's are only logged and don't show up on the screen.

I also saw a bulletin about Cyan and Yellow not showing up on the print. That had something to do with a faulty Belt Lift Motor.

this is the bit im struggling to understand. I have magenta lines on the tx belt so the way I understand it is the lines appear on the drum via the drum charge roller and get pulled off via an opposite charge on the tx unit - right or wrong on this?

Just saw a bulletin about magenta or black lines, but only when feeding from the by-pass tray. Solution was to replace the BICU-Board.

I assume you've taken your handy little cleaner off the door and clean the lasers off ? I had tech go thru all that just for not having cleaned those, replaced drum all of that and cleaning with that cleaner fixed it.

A dirty laser unit, or a dirty laser slitt glass causes white lines.

looks like charge roller unit in the m, i have to change the charge roller units quite often if using aftermarket drum units, and on oem it happens periodically if the dv is getting week it will build up and the charge roller leaner cant keep up. tuning into lines like these.
