machine has a 0.5\" white band across copies, not lead to trail, it moves around but usually shows up twice on the copy. must be drum or dev unit, anyone seen this one.

Hey there. Just joined this board because I noticed a copier in the forum I service, cool. Anyway about your problem. I don\'t know this box but have seen this on other copiers, mostly anolog boxs. The white band is useally caused by the copy getting sucked down into the T/S assy. whereas the image on the drum can not transfer in this area leaving a white band horizonally. The main cause is the side transport clutch over feeding causing a buckel in the paper. Run the copy thru your fingers and see if you can feel an indent. Hope this helps, good luck
