Ricoh Aficio 3260c light black copies / prints
Hello everyone,
I have a Ricoh 3260c that had a bad black toner pump and was adding too much toner causing spots on the paper and getting on the transfer belt. I replaced the pump and that issue was fixed. Now it is printing too light. If I try to calibrate the copier it cycles and does not print a calibration page. After I noticed that it was taking too long calibrating I cycled the power. It was then over-toned. I cleaned the music sensors first which were dirty. That did not help. I had a transfer unit from a machine in the shop that was working fine and threw it in the copier. Still same issue.
I know it is something simple that I am not seeing. Please help!!!
Thanks in advance for all your professional advice!!!
Mike

By transfer unit do you mean the paper transfer unit or the ITB? If it was not the ITB, check that the black transfer roller.

After fixing the toner issue did you go into sp mode and do a manual toner add, then run Process control Density and normal and check result it may just need to calibrate process control.

I think you can also think that the pump has too much air inside and not suck either toner. You can try to manually fill toner reaches the tube using a syringe pump to the vacuum to the pump and try to make a toner refill the SP 2251-001.
