SC 670, Engine Startup Error, is occuring every time. Change SP875-001 to 1 and the ' Functional problem detected, Press restart after the current process" will no longer be displayed on the first occurance of an error.

Check all connections the the engine board. If the connections are all good, replace the engine board.

I'm not able to get into SP mode from that screen. Also which board is the Engine board. I have looked in the service manual and can not figure out which board it actually is.

You will have to repair the Engine Startup Error before you can get into SP mode.

The only connection on the BCU/Engine board is on the back it plugs right into the IOB board, there aren't any cables or anything to it. I removed it, reconnected it, and just for the heck of it disconnected and reseated all the connections on the IOB board it attaches to. But I am still getting the SC670 error. Is the BCU/Engine board definitely bad then? Is there nothing else to check or test before I send it out for repair??

I sent the BCU and IOB 2 in to Hytech for repair and they said both boards tested fine. Is there any other board that could cause the error. We have reseated every connection on the BC, IOB1, IOB2, and the IPU. Any help would be appreciated.

did they test them in another 901?
Also i forgot to mention theres a LED sequence boot up you can reference from the boards (which led's flashing sequence lights up) when you boot the machine up
