    3228c "Please wait"

    Here's some things I just learned about this machine - the never ending "Please wait" may not be the hard drives. If you see that message, see if you can get into user tools, and then see if you can print a meter report. If that works, the problem is in the IPU area.
    If when the machine is turned on all that happens is the main power LED illuminates, try pushing the controller in. If that changes things, check the frame around the controller for bent metal pieces preventing the controller from plugging into the motherboard correctly.
    Finally, replacing that machine's first paper feed unit for a false "Out of paper" indication is stupid and really time consuming. Don't do that. Change tray 1 first, even if you don't see any obvious damage to the tray.
    Hope that can help someone save some time.
