    Unidentified Part c3500

Hi Guys and Gals. I was working on a mpc3500 with a 3030 finisher, and the customer gave me this piece and said it fell out of the machine. I have seen this before, but I don't remember where. What is it and where does it go? (the plastic piece, not the quarter)

It almost looks like a part of the finishing trays, either a tab lock or a decurling tab. That's just a guess without a machine nearby to check.

TAB LOCK! I think you may be right. It locks the bypass side guides, I'm pretty sure. Thanks for steering me in the right direction, Dude.

Its from the bypass tray, now you need to look for the small metal leaf spring that attaches to it.

Normally the customer complains of bypass jams, and then someone else from the office hands me the entire side fence assembly and says "is this important?"

Thanks Paul, I have one. I figured it was much quicker to ask the populace than peruse through pages of parts lists
