I changed de flat cable that connects that bicu board with the laser unit and the sc 322 and sc 326 codes still appear.

Remove the laser unit. Clean all the toner and dust out of it. Clean the synch sensor very carefully. If codes continue replace the LD unit. They tend to fail on these machines more often than on 1035 account excess dusting.

Another possibility for the same reason (dusting) is the upper right cover switches, as the power for the LD runs thru them. Great place for a switch, right above the toner.

    Hehe,

Great place for a laser unit on these, right below the toner hopper on a notoriously dirty machine.

First of all check that the laser slit glass is still there, I've seen a couple of machines where the slit glass has been missing completely and it's been throwing up laser SCs.

Then do what the other folks say, careful clean of the LD unit, I have had a couple of occasions where the lens directly in front of the laser diode has been coated with a layer of toner, cleaning this has cleared the fault.

A couple of occasions where a clean of the sync board has sorted the fault.

But anyway, 9 times out of 10 this has come down to toner contamination either of the door switches or the LD unit itself.

Have you tried resetting the Laser Pitch Beam Adjustments in 2-109 because you should maybe carry these out !

8 machines doing the same thing. You need to find something else in common.
All point to a laser sync error. Usually caused by dirt on the laser sync boards. But as has been said, after cleaning you should reset the Laser Pitch Beam Adjustments in 2-109. The number is on the birth certificate.

I had code 322 - on ricoh machines - you must take apart polygon mirror
motor, cleane round bar with alcohol . Now you must little eperiment with
oil. a) use very little of oil, only microfilm - if variant a doesnt work
    - b) use more oil .

i repaired ever laser unit this way - both HP LJ printers
