Not keen already, be prepared to replace lots of drum coating bars as they wear uneven and very quick. Ricoh say they should do 600k but at the moment your lucky if you get anywhere between 150 and 400

Also lots of J050 jams due to cis shift sensor

yeah, i already replaced a couple of coating bars, but since the last firmware it should be able to get +300k.
J050 jams can be reduced when adjusting the papertype in the library...

Many PSU's died in the beginning, but there's a modificated PSU now, also the decurler can be a pain in the ass...

I find it easier just to switch the sensors off just like on the 1350's these things tend to cause more problems than good. Dont rate the finishers either too many SC720-35 !!

    Baron Pro 8100/8110/8120 Jam J049 and J050

Here are the setting in order to get rid of those 2 types of jam:
    CAUSE
Jam50 and Jam 80 are caused by paper skew in the registration unit, which occurs when paper in the feed tray is not neatly set.

    SOLUTION
Set the paper in the feed tray neatly –confirm no space between the paper and fences on both sides– according to the procedures described in the ‘Guide to Paper’ manual.
If this does not resolve the jams, do the following.

    For Jam50
Disable the side-to-side registration function in both SP1917 and SP1957.
And then, input a higher threshold value for the skew correction level setting in SP1022, or disable the skew detection function in both SP1021 and SP1955.

    IMPORTANT

    • Disabling or modifying the skew detection/correction functions will generate higher risk of skew problems.
    • Make sure to disable both SP1917 and SP1957. Disabling only SP1917 will not take effect, because priority is given to SP1957 when using custom paper.
    • Similarly to the above, make sure to disable both SP1021 and SP1955. Disabling only SP1021 will not take effect, because priority is given to SP1955 when using custom paper.

toner dusting inside the machine at 400K Developer, we tried to overhaul ah dev unit due to white line.. usually the mylar cleaner will do the job but it happen at the machine is in low volume user so the dev tank accumulate more toner as a result for light copies from a sticky toner at doctor blade. its a good machine just follow the pm count to avoid pain in the ass. :0
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

Unfortunately you are very true with the lubricant which ends around 400k. Jam 49 and jam50 are solvable. There is a ricoh technical bulletin solving it... the machine is also sensible in enviromental conditions, temperature, humidity, that is why toner recirculation keeps clogging... i recommend pro 1357ex rather than pro 8120
