I did firmware update but what is the reason to replace the development unit the machine still new,

After replacing the developer the copy quality is perfect

Ricoh has released a new firmware to solved the problem which dirty background of the backside paper when making SMC print
But my case normal printing and copying

Just to rule out the dev cylinder & TD sensor, if they're arn't to expensive worth it as a precaution.
Have you looked into what the customer is printing? Long runs with very little print on the page or long runs with a lot of txt & photos etc can cause this kind of issue.

Impossible because after replacing developer one customer make 6500 copies

Let say, you are correct, but we didn't notice this type of problems with MP2000 series machines since one of my customer is using both machine in the copy shop

    I will try this

Yes but an MP2000 is not the same as an MP2001 hence the different Dev part numbers!

Dear Waliul,\ Thanks for the reply

We ordered only Ricoh genuine ( OEM) toners and developers from ricoh. Toner EDB code is 842012

Our continuous observation found that customers are complained after replacing the new toner, some time first toner. Then we checked with the toner and there are no issues since the machine installation had been done by the same toner lot

In this situation what our tech's are doing is
    1. make 10 black copies until toner mark is papered
2.then checked the vsg and vsp , Normally vsg 3.92 - 4.01 and vsp above the 1.5(in correct ) ( after black copies done)
3.Changed the SP2301 [Tr Current Adj] 004 Cleaning/Negative for background correction
4.Changed the SP2929[Vtref Limits] Upper Limit and Lower Limit
    5.Re initialize the developer

in error case we observed that the vsp is not normal and it always above the 1.5
Can any one advice how to reduce vsp to correct valve ( vsp<0.5) for new drum
What is the meaning of PWM and vsdp

    Thanks in advance

    Re: MP2001L copies with background

vsp and vsdp are readings taken by the p sensor (ID sensor) immediately following the ID patch. vsdp is used for design purposes only. PWM is calculated during developer initialization and process control. It has to do with the voltage/current applied to the emitter of the p sensor in order to get a valid reading for the surface of the drum prior to the ID patch.

That all said, clean the p sensor. It is located in the PTR unit directly below the transfer roller. The sensor gets dirty and process control raises PWM. When PWM is increased, the ID patch looks lighter and process control increases the toner density causing back ground.
