LD 425c connecting to a Mac running OS 10.8

Trying to get my Mac to see the printer. I have it connected via USB and I've tried every possible driver but the only one that works is when I put a b/w printer like the Ricoh MP 2500. If I put the driver that the printer calls for the Lanier MP C2500.LD425c PS I get two pages with the following message:

    PS Adobe 3.0
    APL_Encoding: UTFS
    APLPRoducer: (Version 10.8.5 (Build 12F45)

    and another sheet that has:

    Adobe 3.0 Query
    Userdict(/004) cvn { (/004) print flush} put
    BegininFeatureQuery

I guess I need PS Adobe 3. How do I find out if this printer came with it?

Of course it needs P/S 3 for MAC, and I doubt it has it.
Print a 'configuration page' to confirm (basically the same with every other printer on the planet, that I've come across)

You will need the PostScript3 option SD card. Product # B822 EDP Code 412879 Lanier Order # 216-7169. No it cannot be copied from one SD card to another, Adobe copywrite protection. The only other option is to wait until Apple put out a generic PCL driver that supports color.

Thanks. The printer doesnt have the card but found one on eBay at a good price. Do I need any software or will it be just plug and play?

Just plug and play, usually the top SD slot (if it is free) or the second slot (if the top isn't free). The third slot (if it has a third one) is for firmware updates.

In the unlikely case that there are no free slots then a qualified tech will need to perform an application move onto the PS3 card. Or, remove the Java card, you won't need it.

I guess I ordered the wrong thing cause I received a memory card that reads PostScript3 Unit Type C3000. Is this the right thing? What do I do with it? Just put in in my Mac and run it?

It installs in in the LD 425c. Installation instructions are in the service manual.
