MP C2051 / color copy fuzzy

    hi,

Sorry, i'm using Google translate ...

On a MP C2051 I have a shift of color synchronisation

Sheet sort in the sense X, the decalage of color is in the sense Y.
The decallage is more prononce in yellow on 0.5 millimeter.
    Cyan 0.3 millimeter
    Magenta 0.2 millimeter
So the color copy is fuzzy

    I have been replaced:
    The 3 color drums
    The ITB complet
    cells DI
Laser Entier (with the entire procedure that goes well)

    Setting MUSIC 2111 a b c ...
    Firmware are ok

    The problem still persists !!!

Total color count : 62577 pages
Total black count : 39850 pages
    Have you a idea ?

Did you do C first then A? C is rough alignment and A is fine alignment.

That is all I can think of. The only part left is the laser unit.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Make sure that the laser and drums are properly screwed in place. Clean the optics and re-run Line Adjustment C then A; twice.

First thing to do is check the Line Positioning Adjustment result (SP2-194-010-012), and check the counter measure list in the Service Manual. Color Shift can happen in Main Scan (Laser Unit) and Sub Scan direction (Drums). If you know in which direction the shift occurs, then you'll know what to replace or adjust. If the density of the patterns is not enough, the DV-Units can also be a suspect.

Another solution can be to reset process control data to default for Copy SP (SP5-610) and Printer SP (SP1-011-001). Then run Process Control and Line Adjustment C and A (Run A twice, like Ruben said).

Before doing anything, clean the image density sensor assembly. I have had color registration pull back into alignment just by cleaning the sensor.

Re: MP C2051 / color copy fuzzy

If I remember correctly, there is something at the front of the machine that tilts the ID sensor assembly into and out of position. If there is anything binding the movement of the ID sensor mount plate, it could cause incorrect positioning of the ID sensor.

Hopefully you can find the "birth certificate" for that machine, the paper that comes with new machines from Ricoh that shows all of the adjustments from the factory. If you can find that, I'd recommend you check that the adjustments listed there are correct first before you try any other new adjustments.
(It sounds a little bit like somebody did a memory reset to the machine when one was not needed. I'm probably wrong, though.)
