Re: Ricoh MPC3003 finisher curls first page on double sided staple jobs

It doesn't look like a damp paper problem to me as there is no significant curl or wave on the other sheets.
Does it ever occur with the first stapled set fed out? I am thinking that there could be excessive static in the paper which is causing the first sheet to stick to the previous stack as it's being fed out.

    Yip Duke

only duplex staple sets. Single sided are fine. I am thinking it is a combination of paper curl and the angle of the receiving tray.

Deb has hit it right on the head, it's a static issue, is your finisher grounded correctly but installing the correct earth plates.

Is it on carpet or is a board installed under it?

There are massive changes to the firmware on the two finishers this could be, I would guess that.
    Could you let us know:
    1) Model of finisher?
    2) Jam code that is being thrown?

I agree 100% its a Sh!t finisher first thing to do is update the firmware for the Finisher as there been shit loads of firmware released for the finishers all of them have had serious stacking problems ie not aligning sheets properly when stapling is the most commong problem before firmware update.

The 3140/3150 has had about 7 firmware updates. 5 of them revolve around paper stacking/stapling. I'd go that direction first.
