    MP 4000, 4001, 4002

Is anyone having success using the printer version PCDUs instead of rebuilding the copier versions. We all know these machines suck, but I'm guessing Ricoh has zero plans of coming up with a permanent fix and I can't keep losing money on these dogs. Any input would be appreciated.

    Re: MP 4000, 4001, 4002

On the MP4000 and 4001, you can use the printer kits A and B with no modification. Just slap them in and initialise the dev using 2-801.

When using the kits on the MP4002, the fuser/transfer is no issue, but what you need to do is put in the PCDU unit, cheat the front door as the front of the PCDU is different, pull the tags out and initialise dev, when the process is completed, take off the front cover off the PCDU and replace it with the one that came out of the unit so the front door can close.
