Java doesn't change status

Hi everyone!

Does anybody see this case before? i have a Ricoh SP 5210 SF , and i need to embedded papercut mf for the project . but i can't install it because java doesn't start properly on the machine , the button "other functions" on the MFP doesn't work , on the web the status of java vm card is always "waiting" . I've changed the vm card , but the issue continues . Anybody could help me?

I think it is waiting for someone to start it. Have you tried clicking on the Selection circle in front of it and then clicking Startup/Stop? The status should change to either Starting Up or Stopping.

I've already did it, they stop, but when i click again the message "waiting" appears again...

once you select start up or stop in the java menu, you have to reboot the machine to have the change take effect. Now for the extended application, It has to be installed and have java running to work with any desktop software. There should be an install guide for papercut, that probably assumes java is already installed and running............
