    AF-240 RW SCANNER

I installed a second hand machine at a new customer. Since than, every month, i have to replace the whole CIS assembly, or partially some of the C.I.Sensors...Blank or black wide lines appear on scanning documends. I did not put a new CIS assy because of the cost of it.
Does anyone else have seen these symptoms?? How can i rid of this trap? What am i missing???
Thanks in advance for any input...

These could be pretty temperamental beasts!

I assume that you are doing the calibrations when you replace the (I assume) second hand CIS units? Or are you merely installing them?

I can't see any difference making those adjustments...it is only one by the way " to adjust the image at CIS joints".
The deffects i am facing (3cm to 6cm white or black with NO image) are listed at Image problem Troubleshooting list.(S.M.) and solution suggested per manual is to replace or check : harness connections and boards..
    Thanks a lot Polar...
