    Ricoh 1045

    Hello All, I have a customer who has a Ricoh 1045 the message they get is "Memory Full" they use this copier to Fax and Scan to PC, Is this just a case of Too little memory? or is there a problem with something else?

    maybe theres faxes in memory that are waiting to be sent later. check it out, canīt think of anything else.

    If I recall, the older multi function machines had "optional" memory to be installed. Large (read heavy black coverage) documents could be too large to be scanned or faxed. The page rating is at 6% coverage which is not usually the actual coverage on most documents. Watch the percent indicator on the display when scanning the job is in process. Also try it with blank pages to see if there is a difference. It could be the memory is just not adequate for the specific job.

    I occasionally get this message with the wide format machines. The user will get a memory full message after scanning the third sheet. If the machine is only using RAM to store the images it will fill up pretty fast.

    I usually readjust the hard drive connections to correct the problem.
