Re: Ricoh MPC 3000 image Quality Problem

@elmo: yes i tried 100g..120g paper, and the problem remains

@ewizzi:i'll check the side door and the piece of plastic you mentioned...

@mikadonovan: i changed both... Still same problem

@ghostinthemachine: maybe its really a ghost in that machine.... The problem is exact the same on every sheet.... Same position, and it doesn't repeat at A3 paper... Same position....

Re: Ricoh MPC 3000 image Quality Problem

I know you said in your original post that it occurs on prints/copies, but could you confirm that it definitely does it on prints please, most things, other than optics, would move the position, or repeat along the page

There was a similar problem in the early days of the Royal Bond Copier 1. It was referred as a banana void due to its shape, and like this it was the same place on every copy. It was caused by a bubble of air getting between the paper and the master.

@slimslob: interesting idea.... Maybe a bubble. Of air. Between the transfer belt and the transfer roller....

Looks like the smiley face issue you sometimes get with poor paper stock. Try increasing and decreasing the fuser speed for LEF.
You also seem to have a faint band down the centre, have a look at the white bias wires inside the transfer unit, they can become detached from the connectors and cause weird problems because of the electrical noise.

Re: Ricoh MPC 3000 image Quality Problem

seems like DV unit and/or dv clutch issue to me

edit: ok, that's probably unlikely if this occure with every colour. But that diagonal lighter lines within the image (as you can see in the sample scan) is usually related to dev/drive issues.
