    Ricoh MP6000 Jamming

Before i explode thought i would shoot this past everyone and see if there are any more ideas or if one of you have seen this. I have a ricoh mp6000 with 3.5 mill on the meter. It started jamming all the time. When it tries to feed it makes a noise then then shows a jam and shoots the paper to reg, B2 door flops down and thats it. Shows a jam 12.
I have tried everything from switching feed units, to rebuilding the feed units (all of them) with all new gears and belts. I also replaced reg drive motor and belt. still no luck.
After swapping feed units between trays i did get it to run for about a day. Thought it was just the feed unit and then customer called and said it was doing the same thing.
Has anyone seen this? Im just about out of hair from pulling it out over this one

There is a bulletin on this. It has to do with the one way gears in the feed station. The bulletin will tell you which gear based on the jam number and source tray.

Have u clean the registration sensor and relay sensor? Also have the customer use tray2. If no jam then go after the paper feed unit for tandem tray.

sounds like you have toner and developer spilling down the back going into these units. I had this swapped around worked for about a day. went back and started vacuuming, in went all the way down to the bottom with toner. after vacuuming and replacing dev unit and paper feed assy never went back. you can just replace the bushings in the dev unit think theres about 6 of them. good luck

    Re: Ricoh MP6000 Jamming

    Hi there!
Change the paper-path- & reg-sensors. Had this issue on some Martinis. In 4 of 5 cases it was a faulty transportation-sensor (availible under the cover which is located under the bypass). Input-check says theīre OK, but after changing it, the jamīs were gone. We also change regulary the 6 bushings of the dev-box, īcause its a hell of a mess if the developer falls on the paperfeed-units.
    Greetings...

replaced all gears on the back of the feed units
did the feed motor adjustment procedure
i've swapped feed units from one tray to another
replaced the sensor at the b2 door area
    replaced the registration sensor
swapped out the reg motor and belt

I don't work on that model, but for what it is worth here's what I've heard from techs who do -
If you've found developer outside the developer unit, you should replace the entire unit.
Best I can tell, here's why:
If the original bushings were leaking developer, the part that prevents developer from reaching the bushings has failed. The iron that developer is made out of is much harder than the bronze the bushing is made of, so new bushings will wear out much faster than you'd expect. Also, the shafts that those bushings support probably have been worn by the developer that was passing through the faulty original bushings.
I've been led to believe there are magnetic clutches that could be contaminated by the leaking developer as well. If that is the case, those clutches are done and need to be replaced.
Sorry if that was a waste of time.
