    Driver configuration , shared printer

    Hi folks

the boss of my company decided that all prints must work in duplex mode
I have a printer server (w 2k8 r2) and i changed the print preferences to duplex mode, but the change not answered in the users PC , i have to remove and add the printer in every PC to work . Is there any option that replicate it automaticaly on printer server?

The best way to do this is to use the Server Manager plugin. Go to the Print and Document Services Role and right click on each printer and select the option of Set Printing Defaults. I've had the same issue when trying to make the change from the standard Devices and Printers dialogue that you see on a client. Also be sure to press Apply after making your changes, not just OK. The Server Manager gives you a lot more control, and is a much better tool to use for any kind of set up.

I've seen far too many sys admins (or people who thought they were sys admins) try to manage a server using the same tools as you would on a client machine.
