    Cleaning unit MPC 8002 / 6502

    Hi

I have a machine asking for the PCU Cleaning unit to be replaced, this is due to the Lubrication Bar running out and has a sensor which is activated when its running low. I have replaced the lubricant bar about 30k copies ago and now it has come up with this and locked me out. Do I have to buy a £250 cleaning unit in it entirety as the manual sugests or does anyone know how to get out of this and reset it. I have reset the PM counters fully for the unit and also the percentage count, which was only on 9% anyway.

    Thanks for any help

I think the pm counter is just a reminder of the parts life. You need to reset the rotation counters. Only had Ricoh training on MPC6500 so 6502 may be a tad different.

I thought that but can't see those counters, there are some in the PM counts as in Percentage which is now at Zero, so not sure where else to go.

If you've already reset the counters, check the lube bar sensors themselves. If the actuator isn't positioned properly, it won't actuate that switch and it will think the lube bar needs to be replaced. You can check the two sides of the switch with a meter to be sure it is situated correctly.

Also check TSB 113 for more info on those sensors.

    Hiya

Thanks for that. I have had a try and sensors are fine and working. They are not actuated, so meaning the lug bar has not actuated the switch. I have even spoken to Tech support and they don't know either but just fitting a whole new unit, just frustrating to know how a new unit will make it work.

    Thank you.

Just in interest, I have taken the connector off for the Cyan which is not due anyway and it has not said anything about it, so it must be a reset in the machine somewhere I guess.

    Hi Gamut

SP3 is process, have you the full SP number to get to, to reset please? I don't have Access to Firmware at this time but I don't care doing a manual reset.

    Thank you.

    Hi Gamut

Found it, and it worked :-) Thanks loads. I will try and get the Firmware update for that.

Confira os sensores, se for o caso troque com outra unidade pcu
    Faça sp 3032 e depois 3040.
